Each fall, Celebrated Living is delighted to present the winners of our annual Platinum List Awards, which honor the world’s best hotels, resorts, restaurants and bars, and travel experiences. Thirteen distinguished experts from the worlds of media, food, the arts and luxury travel supplied the nominees, which were then voted upon by our readers, whose opinions are reflected in the variety of properties featured. The winners comprise a wide range of styles and locations, from the 19th-century elegance of the Baur au Lac hotel in Zurich to the fiercely untamed adventure of Minaret Station in New Zealand’s Southern Alps, which guests must reach via helicopter. We also visit the brilliantly eccentric Fife Arms—a vintage Scottish hunting lodge transformed by contemporary gallerists Iwan and Manuela Wirth into an art-laden delight—and soak up the sun at the supremely luxe Belmond Cap Juluca on Anguilla.

Renowned restaurateur Maguy Le Coze and acclaimed chef Eric Ripert take us behind the scenes at their legendary New York City establishment, Le Bernardin, which continues to offer some of America’s most innovative seafood preparations. Meanwhile, down in SoHo, Daniel Rose is turning heads with his superb French fare at Le Coucou, and in London, chef Hélène Darroze is bringing a fresh perspective to her beloved restaurant at The Connaught. We also chat with Rick Blount, the fifth-generation proprietor of New Orleans’ world-famous Antoine’s, established in 1840, and sip a nightcap at the retro-modern, wildly pink Candy Bar in Detroit.
